Got puppy from Mgcorgis home in August; it immediately had loose, frequent stools; we thought maybe it was because of puppy dog-training treats; stopped treats; puppy still had loose stools most of the time; puppy diagnosed with parasite called giardia, which can be fatal in puppies and can damage intestines. Giardia is spread from contact with other dogs and from drinking water contaminated with the fecal matter of other dogs. Since purchasing from Mgcorgis home, we have kept our new puppy on our premises and not allowed it on sidewalk or in parks, etc. We have no other dogs. For others contemplating purchase from any pet store, note that giardia is frequently asymptomatic, but it will do its damages nonetheless.
